Yeah it is one of those "Not if but when" things.

That is what I keep hearing, I'll have to mark it up on the priority list. But unfortenatly I noticed my steering box is leaking and upon further examination tonight the bracket is broken. So looks like that issue gets first priority now.

After actually driving the truck last night, this will work as a temporary fix. The nylon bushing gives more flex than I would like. It will probably wear out or break after continuous usage.

Well at least the nylon bushings are cheap and plentiful...

I was afraid that would be the case. Go pick up a Hiem joint before it breaks

That was my original thinking when I brainstormed this idea.

I'll probably have to order one online, as I don't know if any one around here can get them. I plan on checking into that this weekend. I have a little time to find one, I parked the truck back in the shop until I get my new steering box, and get my frame fixed.

Believe it or not, most hardware store have them in one of the cardboard assortment boxes.

I wouldn't have thought so, but then again I've never looked for them before. Thank you. I'll have to check the store around here.

I had a truck come in years ago, with the same problem. After I built up the pushrod and the pin, I machined down a brass bushing to go between them. Lots of work but it ended up working well.

Hate to say it, but that is very accurate. The one here is probably the worst I've been to for quite awhile.

I don't know about that. I have to look up the part numbers of parts I want on their website and take them to the store where the can't be found even though their web page says they have 6 of them.

My store here is the same way. I called them and they said they don't show any listing for a clutch master cylinder for my truck. I looked it up online and found a part number, gave them the part number they said it's not a good number. That's when I walked out and went to Oreilly's. They had the master on the shelf.
