club cab rear seat
club cab rear seat
Are there any alternative style bench seats that will fit in the rear of a club cab in place of the jump seats? I was thinking of removing the jump seats and installing a rear bench seat out of a 92ish chevy pickup. We used to have a 92 Z71 and I seem to recall it was about the right size to fit in there. Has anybody done this or installed something else and do you have some pics? I'm needing to use the club cab for a family hauler temporarily til I get the crew cab project done enough for the engine swap and I'll have to put a car seat in the back seat for my little helper.

i think the price is around like 700$ if i remember right.. do a search in the thread finder for "club cab rear seat" and youll find a thread from years ago that shows links to sites with all the pricing. i dont know if they are still available or not, id imagine they didnt sell many.

After putting in the 2nd gen buckets my next thought is to make some rear seats from a Dakota or Tacoma fit in the back facing forward. Gonna wander the junkyards a bit this summer.

I have one of the original early 90's aftermarket bench seat. The seat was made by Can-Am in Canada. I was able to buy it from a Canadian 1st gen owner. The seat is awesome and can be flipped up for stowage.
The Ford and Chevy seats that you guys speak of are a little long. They will require the corner speaker boxes to be removed. The width is also a little wider than my custom 1st gen bench. You can do it, but leg room will be further limited. I just got super lucky and found a guy who didn't mind parting with his custom built rear bench.

I contacted CanAm about 2 years ago. They still make (or made as of 2 years ago) the rear seat and it ran about $1200 to have it shipped to me down on the 3rd Coast.
My project for this summer is to either build or buy a rear seat for my '93. I'm thinking a smaller rear bench from a Dakota or something may be a good fit. If I can't find one reasonably priced then I'll just build one.

I have a parts car ( ford escort ) and I am going to try to cut down and install the rear seat in my 93. The kids are getting to big for the jumpers in the rear. The interior is mint from the car and is the correct color. When and if it goes in I will add photos.
