Cheapest Borgeson Shaft?

Where's the cheapest place to get a borgeson shaft? My old man wants one for his W250. This is a pretty clear cut and dry install correct? Thanks all
Dan

Summit racing had em the cheapest when I did mine last month. the shaft, and new rag joint went for 180 + delivery. Not bad. I would recommend doing the rag joint while you are in there, that way you don't have to worry about the old one coming apart on the road.

The rag joint is the rubber/fiber joint located above the driver side inner fender using four 12-point bolts to connect the column to the shaft. I have never seen or heard of one ever going bad. Although I suppose if one became contaminated with brake fluid, oil or some other source of deteriorant, it could become degraded or damaged. The one I took out of a 35 year-old Chrysler I parted out a couple years ago looked fine. It doesn't do much exscept provide a soft mount connecting the steering shaft to the steering column.

Thanx for clarifiying, i fixed a seal in the gear box and could not line up the original shaft back on its proper spline, in trying to do so i tore the boot on the rebuildable housing. i have decide to replace shaft rather than spend $10 for the boot and fight with it anymore. i hope im thur with it...

I did mine a couple weeks ago and it was pretty smooth,I had to work it a little to get it to slide on the shaft but it was'nt too bad.Big difference in the steering though.Well worth it.Summit had the best price I could find.
