When and if I ever do a body off paint job I plan to lineX or Rhino liner the chassis. But things up here are a little different, we have HEAVY salting on the roads to deal with. I've heard of guys in our area doing it with good success so yeah, if I get the chance, I'll be going that route.

As for the chassis paint, I really can't give input I don't know a lot about it.

Look at www.kbscoatings.com

I've used por 15 and I am very unhappy about the results after a few years. It peels off, crazy.. I used KBS on my restore of my 92 and it is muche better I feel. the offer a chasis saver kit. Good luck and save up some cash, your gonna need it!!

I had the crew cab frame sand blasted by my local blaster who used Sherwin-Williams industrial primer and industrial black. This was done to the bare frame with only the engine crossmember and the two last crossmembers in place. I then applied 3M paintable undercoating to the inside of the frame rails and all of the crossmembers. I'm pondering the idea of coating the remaining surfaces with a harder paintable bed liner coating but I haven't decided at this point in time. This was also a 2WD to 4WD conversion. Pictures from yesterday attached.

i would think rhino and bed liner coatings if they got loose they would totally hide where your frame was being ate by tin worm

They offer a thinner, I purchased it when I thought I was gonna spray my underside of the cab. I ended up just brushing it on.
