Changed the fuel filter, do I need to bleed it?
Hi guys.
I changed my fuel filter for the first time, it went smoothly, I filled the new filter with fuel before I spun it on, but when I popped the drain hose on I accidently drained a little fuel from it.
There must be a little air pocket in there now, do I need to bleed it or pump the primer lever, or can I just run it?
I haven't restarted it yet.
Here's a pic of my truck, just for fun:

I would say just try and start it, it can't hurt, mine always starts even with that little bit of air, if it dies try it again just don't let the starter get too hot. by the way you have one clean lookin 1st gen. truck. surfin, hunting, whatever !
i agree, just run it. dont bleed unless you have a problem.
i also agree that you have one very nice looking truck!
how do you like the skyjacker springs? are they much softer than the stock setup? a better question would be, how much better is the ride over stock?

Thanks for the tips, guys, and for the colpiments on the truck, although it isn't quite as nice as the pics shows.
The PO swapped the springs so I can't really say whether or not they improved the ride, but I couldn't imagine it riding much rougher, at 75mph on the interstates I swear I catch air once in a while. Pure buckboard.
I drove around for a few days without a front right shock after the mount broke, and I couldn't even tell a difference.
What the springs did do is eliminate the lift blocks in the rear, so no axle shudder, and it sits nice and level.
I was worried that the weight of the shell/rack might require air bags to level it back out, but I don't think it dropped the rear at all, and it actually rides a little better with all that weight back there, but it did cost me 3-4 MPG.

I wish I could give you the color code, but the tag with that info has faded so bad I can't really read it.
If I can see the tag better in daylight, I'll shoot you a PM.
I appreciate it Don H. I'm going to paint one of my trucks soon and I like that color. It is solid white and i'm going to repaint it back white with the gray/blue/silver color center. It may be this Sabre Grey Metallic. Thanks again.
