can i loctite these screws?

can i loctite these screws?

hey guys i was wondering if i could loctite the bolts that hold the little plate on the back side of the injection pump across from the ksb and also do these need to be torqued or can i just tighten them up........

I don't loc-tite mine. But if I was to do it, use the blue stuff. And all I ever do is give them a good torque down...no particular value....you should have a good feel for what you can torque them down to.

I've never loctited those screws although I see your reasoning. Personally I would use green loctite and use the cows method of torque ing down

I use loctite blue on small screws I might want to remove in the future. Also, on small screws in critical positions, though it seems to be a lot of trouble, I break out the 1/4" torque wrench and use it. If the torque spec isn't in the Bosch book, you can look up torque specs per thread size online.

I've found it pays off to be picky about such things.

After 39 years of being a flat rate tech I torque only 2 things.
Head bolts and bearing caps.
