Can anyone tell me about this lift pump kit?

http://www.dieselautopower.com/produ...ton%20pump.htm

Would something like that still need a regulator? Would it put out too much PSI for the VE?

Its the high volume low pressure kit. I ordered it. not the same pump as the one off a 2nd gen that requires regulation.

Same here. I also went with a big line setup as well when I did it.

Last I knew the cummins shops were selling just the pump for 185 and the case dealers were in the 300's. When I did mine I had just over 100 in everything but I lucked out and got the very next to last old case part number pump. The superceded number is the pricey one.

My little concern about the pump pictured in the link above, is the rubber primer 'bellow' on that pump does not look like the ones on the 3936320 CUMMINS low pressure lift pumps I've ever bought or seen...? I question whether it's a genuine Cummins part. I can see the associated parts are but I don't see a Cummins package or label with that pump. Just my two cents .

I bought the Delphi equivalent. The rest of the parts from Cummins. My diaphragm pump is crapping out again so for about the same pump price why not upgrade. If the Delphi doesn't prove its self out over time, all I'll need to replace is the pump. At the least it will keep me on the road a while.
