Cab leaks continue- help!

I've got a stream in my cab- but from where?

Diesel help- water

Ok guys- so I'm fighting water leaks.

I have a 91.5 D250. This fall I repainted the peeling/rusty roof. I used a 3M disc and cleaned the chanel above
the windshield and it appeared to be missing a long area of caulk. Primed the bare metal with kirker expoy
primer and then 3M caulk for the seam. Ran it smooth with my finger all the way around the doors. Painted-
looks much better aka but definatly not a show job.
1 year previously, I had the windshield replaced and a new gasket installed. I insisted on a new gasket due to age
and minor expense.

So, now I nolonger see water dripping down the a-pillars and dripage off the a/c return is non-existent. But,
there is still water on the passenger side coming from somewhere. I have small river under the carpet where the floor
pan meets the kick panel/door sill. I have inspected for cracking of the cab corners and under the windshield
wipers LOOKS clean.
But- I must be missing something. Anyone in the Dallas/ft worth area that can help?

Pictures- links anything...

Michael

Duct tape a leaf blower into a vent window, and have at it with bubble soap.

In troubleshooting mine (on the same side), I discovered the cab mount plug (under the carpet) was letting water come in that way. Flattened out the floor in that area (so rubber seal was flat) and it stopped.

Seal up the vent on the driver's side kick panel - get some aluminum skin, coat the back with black RTV, and stick it on. (If you have large puddles in the floor - this obviously won't help roof leakage)

Put some kind of sealant under the cab light gaskets, if you have them.

Mud down the drip rail and make sure it has no cracks.

Maybe check into getting the windshield seal replaced if all else fails.

There are two difficult spots that I found to be problamatic. Under the windshield gasket near the "A" pillar the body panels leave a small triangle open. The factory tried to glop sealer in to fill them but when I had my windshield out the sealant blobs had hardened and came out with the old rubber. I gooped them full before I went to the glass shop to have the new winshield put in and am glad as the window guys were in such a hurry they never looked at or checked anything. I agree with thechoochlyman about the vent. However if your cowl drain vents are clean and free flowing water coming in thru the passenger vent is not a problem.

Look closely at the cowl as mentioned above. Also look at this seam in the first pic in the link. I know you repainted and you said you don't have water at the A pillar, but it can get in thru that tab joining the drip rail sections, run down THRU the a-pillar, exit at the kick panel seam and pool on the floor, as shown in one of the later pics on my 92. Not to mention the cracks in the caulking shown. Double check everyhting.

when i painted my truck i had the same problem. i welded up the roof. welded cowl cracks.new windshield and gasket.i even had the dash out.after many hours of looking, i had to take the heater out and found a small crack in the factory seam sealer behind the heater! resealed with seam sealer and no more leaks.

Same issue here that I've been chasing for 3+ years now.
I've had the clip off-no cowl cracks. Drive it in rain and it'll drip on my left knee.Park it in rain and you can see trails in the dust on the inside on both sides of the cab.
The floor is a block of ice and the heater won't thaw anything out.
Seriously considering dumping this truck and getting a Toyota Tacoma
