A/C Compressor PN?

I'm looking for a new compressor because mine is locked up. Does anyone know the part number?

How hard is it to change the pully from a V-belt to the serpentine?

No problem. I just need a good search term for Ebay. They come up every once in a while and I can set it to email me when one comes available.

It seems to be so old they are getting hard to find.

Edwin would you consider using one of an old engine? Theres a couple being parted out in our classifieds and I think one is off my old truck,( means I know it worked).. just a thought since they are so dern $$$$$$$$$$$

and you have "V" belts????? changing would mean replacing all the pulleys, idler, and maybe some issues with allignning the pulleys as well... But i thought all these trucks used a serpintine belt..

and I find this hard to beleive, BUT, copy and psted from www.chryslerpartsdirect.com when i searched for AC Compressor for an 89 D350 deisel.........
COMPRESSOR, All Models, Diesel, w/o Intercooler 88-93 $231.31 $40.00 $180.42

No I have the serpentine belt. I was looking at a compressor for sale that had a V-belt pully.

Yes. I would consider a good used compressor as long as it had the caps on it to prevent moisture contamination. I understand that moisture will ruin them in short order.

Thanks for the link to the new compressor.

From what I understand( and that is little!) teh moisture is only an issue if they dotn dry the compressor before charging it. The moisture can cause a "hydraulic lock" in the compressor.. so they would need to put it under a vacum and remove any condensationo prior to charging i tor filling the oil side of it, BUT i am not 100% sure I am correct on that...

90Firtgen... replacing the pulley on the compressor would be installing a new clutch assy with the correct style pulley right?
