Butthead has redeemed himself

After telling all of you about my snapping the supply side off the fuel sending unit. I was sitting down relaxing , Then it came to me since everything theese days ar pretty much standardised I went to the local salvage yard found a Dodge truck gasser fuel tank and io and behold the tops of the sending units are the same. The gasser unit has an extra vent in it that I just blocked off. I used the pick up and the float assembly from the diesel. Now all is well!!!

That's good info for the next guy. Did the float look like it was made of the same material?

I used the diesel float the pick up tube screen and the lower plastic housing The top part on diesels are red and have asupply side and a return side. Gassers have a supply return and vent witch goes to a canister purge charcoal tank. I just put a vacume cap on the vent side.
