budget front end lift

Does anyone have experience re-stacking the front of their w250? I am working on an offroad truck, but dont want to shell out for new front springs.

I am looking for about 2-4" roughly, and have access to just about any leaf spring I can think of, just not enough time to tear everyone apart to try them

Thanks

Adding one approximately half-length leaf in the middle of the spring pack on my left-front raised it about an inch.
