Broken wiper arm

I was replacing the wiper bushings on my 92 D250 AGAIN and the driver's side wiper arm broke at the hinge pin. Are there any new replacements out there or am I stuck going for used?

Thanks

Are you talking about the actual shaft that the wiper arm attaches to? The little plastic bushings that the tie rod and motor crank attach to are available in the help section at your auto parts store.

Wiper arm. Holds the wiper blade. Not the linkage, pivot, or bushings.

I literally have a shelf of 1st and 2nd gen wiper arms in my shop that I have saved over the years.
If you are in need, I am sure we can come up with a plan to get you one.
PM if you would like.

your much better off with used, no American made replacements and any reproductions will be made in China with very questionable metal alloy

That is why I keep all this stuff. I try to use old OEM parts on my trucks as often as I can. Other than oil, filters and grease. I try to use good old parts where ever I can.

Last year I bought a new set of radiator hoses from my build. After getting the new ones, [Gates I believe] I was so depressed as to the thin, crappy quality of the new hose, I ended up using a much nicer OEM radiator hose off an '89.
You know the quality of parts are bad when a 30 year old, used hose look better than the new ones.

I agree 100%. I have thought and said for many years that you will never see a part as good as the original. Whether it is remanufactured, reconditoned, or just pretty'd up, they are usually better...Mark

I appreciate the help.

A friend of mine (who uses the truck so often he has his own key) ran to a Pick-n-Pull for his own unrelated project and found a truck with wiper blades. He grabbed both of them. They look better than what was on my truck, have good splines, and should be ready to go.
