That would do it. AS you can see the RWAL can be a problematic. Most of us have had at least one brake issue withe our first gen trucks.

 

Totally understand that! I thought for sure it was the rwal though as I've had the brakes looked at several times and they always came back with a "we don't know what's wrong" answer

 

I am in the process of converting my W250 conversion to a GM hydroboost/W350 set up.

I am using a hydraulic brake booster and a master cylinder from a Chevy Astro van and 12"X3" rear 1 ton dodge rear brake shoes.

Powerstokes are too complicated. I have a friend that has a 97' when he had a fuel leak everything had to come off the top of the engine just to see where it was. When I had a fuel leak all I needed was a mirror and a flashlight

 

I want to tag along on this thread. I too javelin the "hopping" it's been driving me nuts. I have new: rotors, pads, calipers, shoes, drums all within the last year. And still hop hop hop.
I think I need to try the bypass first and see if that does anything.

 

I would. It is really easy with the right fittings.And if you want to go back that is also easy.

 

Lol, yeah my mom has a '99 7.3 ltr and although it's awesome because that's what I learned to drive with, it gets 16ish to my trucks 22. And it's a lot easier to work on.
