brakes / cold weather
Just read the interesting posts on brakes and it reminded me of a problem that I have in cool weather. In cool weather the first time that I brake the peddle is very hard and very little braking. This happens only in cool weather and just the first time that I brake. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Vacuum pump.
Seems to be regular thing with the first gens. When it gets cold, the vacuum pump gets to where it's slack doing its job. Bump the throttle, and things straighten up.
I can't think of the place, but to a search on vacuum pump rebuilding and have at it.
Hope this helps.

I have sort of the same problem with my brakes but they get hard to push know matter the weather. If I am driving and I gradually depress the break pedal the pedal gets harder and harder to push and I end up using both of my feet to get the truck to stop, it's a pain and can be scarey at times
I have been looking on how to fix it but no results.
