My guess is it's a knock off then. A deep fake. There's a lot of that going around. Too much anymore. Everyone wants to make a quick buck and everyone wants to save money.

You can even buy a "genuine MOPAR filter" that's not MOPAR or genuine and not "the same". I go out of my way and even pay the asking price to know that I get what I'm buying. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is never more true than today.

For something as critical as steering, I'd pay to get an actual Borgeson and not a lesser quality knock-off.

Sounds like Amazon trying to sell you something of half the quality or less, for $20 cheaper.

As KRB said for a steering part, I would not do it. Maybe for some socks or paper towels, I would risk the low quality of some junk from Amazon.

I would order from Summit Racing, Jegs, or the like.

That's funny I ordered one from Amazon several years ago for my 1990 snowplow truck, it was $36.00 and couldn't be happier now granted I only use this truck in the winter but the shaft seems to work as well as the hi dollar Borgeson I put on another truck I had that is now residing in Vermont.

Vern,
Thanks for putting the "GOOD" one on the truck I drive at highway speeds!
I was just driving it over the holiday weekend.

I just go to the scrap yard and recycle Dodge 2500 shafts. They are Borgeson.

If that is what anyone wants.
I literally have a 5 gallon pail in my shop full of OEM used '94-'02 Dodge 2500 / 3500 steering shafts I have saved off trucks I have driven.

I have genuine Borgesons on several trucks, both Dodge and Ford.

Whatever shaft you use, I can't stress this enough = extend the shaft and anything else that slides in and out and slather it extremely generously with Anti-Seize.

If you don't follow this advice, the innards will seize up to the outwards and it will not telescope in and out anymore.
