Boost with stock injectors?

You guys think I can hit 40psi on a hx35(12cm) with stock injectors? Or do I have something a little bigger than stock?

Just to clarify I CAN hit 40psi unloaded...

I could hit 40 and hold 38 loaded with a 351cw and stock injectors.

I have hit 38 PSI on a stock NON I/Ced motor with just mild pump mods and a HX35 with 12CM.

I tuned it back to 33 PSI or so for the sake of the turbo and head gasket.

Well that confuses me, i can barley hit 35 psi with 5x16s and maxed out pump with HE351cw. Checked for days, no boost leaks and all solenoid holes plugged with ATS plug. Wastegate actuator still hooked up but hose plugged

But if memory serves me right, they are not bigger than 5x16s are they. I'm just curious if my actuator is weak and allowing the gate to open.

Possibly a bad turbine in your 351?

Wire the gate shut to double check, easy and quick.

How would i go about checking for that. I bought it from a tech that "said" he just rebuilt it. It spools insanely fast, just Peters out at about 32psi. Plus it dosnt whistle like my old hx35. I've read some do and some don't but this guy's quiet as a church most. Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread.

I can tell you only about my experiences. I'm running SAC 5x16s from DAP and their great injectors, but haze alot at idle and roll coal in every gear no matter how easily i press the go pedal and I'm not into the whole blacking out the sun fad. I'm thinking about dropping down to some 5x14 or 6x13

I'm thinking so as well. I'm running my pump jumped a tooth and at stock marks on the case, with a recently installed M&H dynamic timing spacer. Don't get me wrong, the truck sure moves. Tons of power but can't stand the haze. Hate to lose the power dropping down to smaller injectors but i think the environment will appreciate it

I would bet your engine will run just as strong... Unburnt fuel Is unburnt and not doing any good.. If anything it's hurting your performance..

I agree completely. I'm leaning more towards the 6x13

. Lock- scroll down on the posts and look for my post regarding pod haze and a cure? I recently put in the DAP 5X12 VCO injectors. Those are really decent injectors for the $$. Some power, w/o the nasty haze at idle, once warmed up. Been on there a week now, and so far no changes to how I ended my last post on my tread. My mileage went up slightly at close to an additional 1.5 increase. Still playing with the new power, so I don't expect much of a mpg increase till the newness wears off.
