body lift maybe?

howdy folks long time no pester. I am the proud owner of a 1990 350 single wheel 2wd! I have seen an episode of trick my truck where the mafia customize a late model dually and install a lift kit and wheel adaptors. they then proceed to install a set of 22.5 big truck tires. my question is, has anybody ever considered trying this with a 2wd? if so would a fella have to install a 4 -6" body lift? and if said idio.. er I mean fella was going to attempt said action where might he acquire a body lift that would get the job done? I forgot to mention that I already know that I would have to change the front hubs. I"m not quite as dumb as I look

you could make your own. buy long grade 8 bolts and some round plastic with a hole in it the right size, or round and drill a hole yourself.

in my opinion, body lifts are not worth the troubles, there is a lot you have to modify, such as steering shaft length, fuel tank filler tube length, brake lines, bumper position, fan shroud, auto trans, cooling lines if you have them, and there is much more, if you can, finding a way to lift the suspention is a lot eaiser and more stable than a huge body lift. i havent looked for them, but i do think someone does make a 2wd lift kit. hope this helps

just put leaf springs up front like 4x4 and put a strait axel up there, blocks in rear of course. just like a big truck.

I was thinkink of putting a front and rear end from a 2wd F450 under mine, the front axle on those are leaf springs but no transfer case to worry about seeing as I dont do much offroading anymore and with the F450 you get 10 lug hubs for some 19.5 rims not sure if 22.5's would bolt on though.
