Big Problems!
Big Problems!
So I have removed my VE Pump because it wasn't creating any pressure. The fuel system has been checked and the filters aren't a restriction. The lift pump also seems to be operating properly. I got a quote from a local shop to rebuild/ replace the pump. Both come out to be about $650. I was going to rebuild the pump myself but the cummins manual I have for fuel systems does not go into how to rebuild the pump. Just parts identification. I do not have the money to just put a new one on, so I was wondering what alternatives can you guys provide? I am very competant with machines and can do the work myself as long as I have the resources.
Does anyone have extra pumps, Bosch manuals, recommend a shop, can rebuild the pump...
Also could I convert to a P pump? What would that take?
I REALLY need to get this thing running! THANKS!

If you put your location in your information, maybe someone close to you can offer help or information on who to see about it.
It is cheaper to buy a running truck and use that pump, than it is to have a pump rebuilt by a shop.
