Question Big Fuel Line Kits

I ordered Glaciers Big-Line-Kit, along with enough fittings to also replace the hard-line from pump to filter.

It should get here today.

For you that have ran rubber lines, how have you routed them from filter to injection-pump??

Did you sort of follow the path of the old hard-line, behind everything; or, did you sort of come around the exposed side of things??

Pictures would be nice; maybe someday I will learn how to do pictures.

Thanks.

I initially had a rubber line coming from my auxiliary tank following basically the same path of the stock lines. Just zip-tied it in place along the way. Don't use standard gasser fuel line, though. I upgraded to stainless after I found out that stuff is not diesel-compatible. Don't know exactly what the problem is with it, though. I did notice the heater hose I had originally used to connect the filler neck to the tank was literally dissolving on the inside. I stuck my fingers in there after I pulled it off and they came black with liquified rubber.

They are the supply and return from the solenoid valve for the valet switch.

What on earth is a VALET switch, and what does it do??

Do I need one??

Those little blue tubes would look cool under my hood, even if I don't know what they do.

A valet switch is used to turn off the boost supply to the AFC on the pump. If there's no boost to the AFC, you don't get any extra fuel when the turbo spools up. It pulls about 80 HP (and 500 degrees on the pyro) out of my truck. It's nice to have if you want a fire breathing play toy that can be toned down to pull a heavy load without you having to stare at the pyrometer the whole time.

The lines are blue because they are the same size and type as the water/meth lines. Color coding makes it easier to 'splain and (harder to screw up when I have to take it apart).

That is the bypass line. I have a Walbro electric lift pump plumbed in parallel with the stock lift pump. There's a relief valve set for 18 psi a little further down that line, excess fuel is returned to the filler neck vent hose.
