A couple of pictures of my '91 Single Cab with the "new shell" that I got this past weekend. This will be my duck/deer hunting rig come fall. The shell has a boat loader and rack on top. The rack/loader is $1500 new, and I paid $150 for the shell and the rack/loader. It needs a little work, but 100 bucks and some elbow grease will make it perfect for my hunting times.
BTW, I don't think I have ever introduced the truck. '91 W-250 with 105,000 miles. Originally owned by my wife's grandfather. It spent the first 75,000 towing a fifth wheel from Idaho to Arizona and back. The next 25,000 miles came over a span of five years as a hunting rig for my father-in-law. When I got it about 5000 miles ago it had a shell of a long bed ford (they get narrow in the back) that obviously did not fit, and still had a lot of the grandfatherish stuff about it. I have slowly started working on it. It does not need much, a little interior work, a little paint and body work, remove the step boards, and turn up the power.

Oh, unfortunately this truck is the catch all rig. The camper shell is on it now, but is coming of this weekend so the truck can go back to hauling dirt and gravel for our landscaping project at the house. It will also likely haul half a dozen loads of brush up to the neighborhood burn pile.
Funny though, Now that I see the adoration these rigs get on here, I sometimes wonder if I am not abusing mine, LOL. The other funny thing, now that I have had one, I want another. Not necessarily another 1st gen(though that would be nice too), but definitely a 12 valve Cummins. Gotta love mechanical everything!!

The wife's truck has one of those snazzy fiberglass toppers, with a raised portion and a lot of glass.
It came with a bunch of genuine topper-clamps, sort of C-clamps from outer-space.
After spending an hour, or more, and still not having it truly centered to the truck, once I get it lined up like I want it, I am drilling through topper and bed rails, and bolting through in about six, or eight, places.
That way, whenever we remove, and then later replace, the topper, I can simply poke the bolts through the holes and it will have to be right back where we had it, without having to go through lining it up all over again.
By the way, NICE TRUCK/TOPPER.

Oh yeah, the wife's has the exact same two-tone scheme; except, her's is black where yours is tan, and silver where your's is brown.
