best clutch for 450whp?
Tomorrow I will be ordering alot of goodies and need to know what clutch I will need. I plan to make between 450-500whp and will see the 1/4 mile a few times a year, plus alot of daily driving. So its got to hold power and still be well mannered.

So the con-fe will hold up to some 1/4 mile runs alright? I just dont want to get a clutch that wont last. I'm not going to be slipping it off the line to build boost, mostly just your average dump and go. lol

I went to a website to order the clutch and they list 2 con-fe's for the first gen. One for 13-1.375 for $975, says its good for 450hp/1000tq. The other is a 13-1.25 for $955 says its good for 550hp/1100tq.
Which one do I get?

Just guessing but I would bet the 13x1.375 is for a 1 3/8" input and the 13x1.250 is for the 1 1/4" input which is what the stock getrag and NV4500HD come with stock. The NV5600 comes with the 1 3/8 input and is avaiable as an upgrade for the NV4500HD but I've never heard of one for the Getrag. Like I said just a guess so I'd make a call before ordering.

IMO if it's rated for 450 hp, that means will hold 450 normal driving for a long time or just a few trips down the strip. Shooting for a 550 hp clutch would be better suited for a 450 hp 1/4 mile racer.
