I was checking out a tach for my truck. It is an autometer #2888. I was wondering if this came with all the hardware to install, like the unit that goes onto the side of my alternator. If the tach does not come with the piece that goes to the side, the any part numbers/ suggestions would be great. I called Summit and spoke to a guy that did not know if it did or not . I have the #2888 tach on my truck. It comes with everything needed for install except electrical tape and wiring terminals.

The mass market vendors don't have a clue when it comes to diesels.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I practically just did a backflip off my chair. I fell in love with that tach, and I was affraid that there would be some unit that was sold seperatly that would cost me my future first born kid Thanks wannadiesel have a great day buddy! You are right, the mass marketing system does not have the slightest clue about diesels. He tried to sell me a tach that would run off of a distributer on a gasser, thats when I laughed and hung up on him
