bearing preload values

I can't find any bearing preload values on this site, moreover anywhere, I've been looking for days on the internet. The tranny is the 5 speed Getrag 4x4, 3/4 ton. I have to replace all the bearing because its noisey, makes the truck feel slugish and howles in 4th gear. I've repiped the fill hole to get 5 qts of 5w-30 mobile one in it and that limbered it up a little but I thing the damage is allready done. It upshifts and down shifts fine and the old oil was only dark with nothing but sluge on the mag drain. Any one know anything? I want to rebuild it myself instead of the shops, I'll know its good then.

6 to 8 thousandths on both the input/output and countershaft. If you are only replacing the pocket bearing I would aim for 6 rather than 8.
