Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.

BAE operations hot rod headers

I got the December Diesel Power today, page 168 has a tease of an article on some headers made from stainless tubing that can be made for 89-07 year motors. "BAE operations" makes them. They claim the header is good for a 100 degree EGT reduction.

Is anybody else curious?

not on a daily driver. a header with a turbo hanging off of it is just asking for cracks. thats why they arent a popular as youd think theyd be.

Headers that are heavy duty enough should be able to take it without cracking....or, make a support for the turbo.

I think the rapid and continuous heating and cooling is hard on the welds, and headers are typically thinner than a cast manifold, and this causes them to heat and cool at a faster rate, and that is why they have "reputation" of cracking.
