Bad steering box??

What are the symptoms that you need to replace your steering box? My steering is pretty loose and it is starting to wander where I can't have complete control over the steering when I'm driving. I've jacked the front end up and had someone turn the wheel and can't see where anything is loose/worn out/ or needs replaced....

First I would check to see if box is Loose ? then check steering shaft just give everything a good hard jerk and then I would look deeper into box willing to bet you may have a cracked steering box plate or something else not seen the first time

post a video of the "under the fender but above the tire" shot on youboob. Make sure you can see the shaft / gear turning while the wheels more or not. Maybe we can do this long distance....

Reality is you should be able to see play in the gear / shaft / gear mount or other while slowly moving the steering wheel.

I would not turn that adjuster just yet, start with the bearing preload. See this TSB if needed a rebuild is fairly easy RCC Rebuild I want with a AGR box and have been very happy with it.
