I haven't heard of anyone having to lap in the valves for 60lb springs. There are a couple different styles of valve seats. It was never clear to me if the newer top hat style with work with our trucks.

Don't forget headstuds if you want to turn it up and increase RPM.

You have to machine our heads to take the top hat seals. This head is ready for the top hats. I forgot to mention I have a PDD head that needs the valves lapped. I got this one with valves and top hat seals that has been CNC ported by them. No valave springs or retainers. It was on sale less than $1500. https://powerdriven.com/products/pow...98-12v-cummins they sell a head bolt kit good to 550hp with a single turbo. No need to get the bat wing rocker pedestals for these bolts. Funny thing, I put all this stuff in my cart including the head gasket. Went and slept on pulling the trigger.
