Axle spline count

Axle spline count

Does anyone know the spline count I wanna get a posi but there are a couple different carriers with different spline counts.

Being a 1 ton it could be 35 spline, but Dodge ordered and installed a lot of 32 spline D70 in the first gens.

Only way to be 100% certain is to pull a shaft and count the splines.

If it has studs, it's 35 splines...
If it has bolts, it's 32.....

That is those holding the axles in place at the hub.

Your best to pull the axle out and count them.. it only takes a couple minutes....
