Axle Fange cones, D350

Ok, I v'e been sourcing everything to do the rear brakes on my D350. None of the local parts houses seem to be able to get the axle flange cones. New nuts and retainers for the hub are somewhat available, but so far, the dealer is looking as the only option. Their phone estimate for a rear brake job is about $430. This would include everything including drums if needed.

The cones are what is keeping me from doing it myself. They are most likely done for. Any sources?

Sherod,

I've done rear brakes in my d350s a couple times but I'm confused by what an axle flange cone is exactly! Are you referring to a Ready-sleeve ? It slips tightly overthr axle where the inner seal sits to repair a scored axle housing?
If so, I ordered mine through napa

If you mean the stud locking cones , which is what comes up when I google that phrase, I wasn't aware our truck use them...

I've done the rear brakes on my Dana 60 and my Dana 70....and I don't recall ever seeing anything remotely similar to those cones. Where do they go?

Thanks!! As the others have stated....learned something new today. Both axles I've worked on had bolts too...never see the studs before. But I can see how that would help center the axle.
