Auto Meter Oil Pressure Guage

Just got my oil pressure guage in the mail. I was hoping to be able to install it in addition to the factory guage and sensor. couple of questions.

1. Is there another port that I can screw my new sensor into? I found the port for the factory guage.

2. I unpluged the wires to the factory sensor, the gauge then read 0, but the idiot light didn't come on. Is there another sensor for the idiot light?

The reason I am doing all this is cause when idling in gear, the oil pressure drops and the idiot light comes on.

Thanks,

Clark.

I put a 2 inch nipple out of the port, screwed a T fitting in that, screwed 2 street 90's into the T and ran both senders in there. You can also use the 2nd port on top of the oil filter housing but I decided to tap in with the original. They point to the fuel filter and leave room to screw the filter on and off.

If I remember right the sensor has a switch that closes when pressure drops below 10 or so. Just unplugging the the wires doesn't make the correct connection.
