Anybody tried one of these Intercoolers?

I don't have enough room to fit the stock I/C in my conversion project because of the width with the elbows on the I/C, so I thought about trying one of these:

See Images below

My engine is a '92 12v, ve with fuel pinned turned to deepest side, star wheel up 1.5 turns from bottom, fuel screw stock, bumped 1/8". Its running in front of a stock 4l80e, It's a daily driver with maybe an occasional trailer pull. I want to optimize for economy.

Any and all comments welcome, Pros? cons?

12 inches is pretty slim for our trucks. you could almost get two and stack them edge to edge. i think this is a ricer cooler. might work really well on a 4bt

Yea that's kinda small I think that's made for a car

Even in the chevy. I'd think you have plenty of room to mount a big all metal intercooler out of like a 94-02 dodge cummins or a 99-03 Ford powerstroke.

You could also find out the dimensions of the intercoolers they sell in the 6.5 Diesel kits, since your truck is that body style generation they used the 6.5's in

I ordered one for my truck, along with a bunch of bends for the install. I have yet to get the time to do it but its going in soon.

Yes, its only 12" high, but I didnt feel like cutting anymore then I needed to, being as my truck is a 90'. Also its a bar and plate style and its 3" thick. A second gen cooler is around 2". It ain't that bad.

I put a 12v in a 92 chevy one ton and I used a intercooler out of an 04 powerstroke and a 17"x31" aluminum radiator only took minimal trimming of the sheetmetal behind the grill, worked out great and much less expensive than new custom intercooler

Sorry about the link . Looking at the dimensions as well as the larger pipe sixe, I figured that this I/C would flow more than my stock 92 I/C would, any body know the CFM/ pressure drop specs for the stock I/C?
and thanks for the comments, keep them coming.
