just being lazy looking for some help...

I'm working on an idea to make a new crossover pipe...but have a fairly simple question, and just don't want to go pull the crossover tube off...

I've been told the hole in the top of the grid heater is roughly 2-15/16"x3-1/8", with rounded corners...

I just want to know if it's basically centered...

I have a plate roughly the size of the grid heater, and was planning on using 3" pipe to make the new tube...and just want to know if I can cut the 3" hole centered on the plate, or if it needs to be shifted one way or the other...

it "appears" to be centered based on the external view of the stock crossover pipe, but I figured one of you had yours apart at the moment...

Thanks.
Greg

yeah...but then you gotta factor in a couple minutes to find the right socket, and then a couple minutes to wash my hands afterwards...
