My problem is even at 10HP when I hit a rock it cuts off the shear bolts. If I put in harder bolts it either bends the augers or ripps out the bolt holes, or both. I am thinking about how to get rid of the shear pins and build a viscous clutch.

With the fuel that 454 is sucking down, its probably cheaper to pay someone to do the snow blowing. If I was going to take the build that far I would have put a 6-71 blower on it with wheelie bars out the rear. One of a kind Drag 'N' Blow set up.

Oh man, that sounds so nice. I am so done with living the life of a hermit in the winter time. Gotta appreciate that Sun and temps. Look forward to living in a winter climate where I can walk outside and not get soaked from rain or frost bite.

I was travelling through California in Feb 1982 to do some forestry bids in Oregon and they had a huge storm that flooded the San Francisco area and that same storm went over the mountains and turned into snow and dumped 10 feet of snow in 1 night on Lake Tahoe. We had to go through there the next day and it was amazing they had all the roads clear but it was like driving through a tunnel the snow was heaped up so high
