another Glow Shift question

I see that Glow Shift has a 3 in 1 gage, boost sweep, EGT, and a temp. I thinking would use the temp for the engine oil temp, on my 5-sp truck. What I don't know if I can use my headlight switch for the dimmer, or even if I can dim the "backlight"? I'm waiting for G. Shift's tech support, too. What do you guys think? Thanks, Artie

The dimmer wire dims the gauge about 25% less than when the lights are off. So no, you cannot use the dimmer switch to "dim", just when that wire gets power will it dim.

Ive seen two of my buddies try them gauges and they had no luck. Both theirs came in the same box to the same house and neither of them worked correctly. Could just be a fluke though.

I just installed one and didn't really care to much for it. Didn't like how you couldn't dim it using dimmer wire. Also, button stuck on me. Maybe, just my experience. But I like the old school guages!!

I put a glow shift fp gauge in a friends truck and the sender went bad in a week. They were easy to deal with to get it replaced and it is working good now.

I have the 3in1. Works fine I would rather have 3 separate gauges but the price on the GS was much more reasonable. Biggest complaint is reading the digital section is difficult in daylight because of the tinted face.
