Well I dont feel too bad now after asking around most everyone thinks $2500 was an alright deal for it. The 440 was not an option in 82 it came out of a 78motorhome I think is what he told me and had it re-built but I told him all it is to me is a boat anchor. Got an e-mail from him today he has a buddy that wants to buy the engine and bell housing from me, more cash for the conversion

 

yeah I payed $2500 for mine then $750 in fuel to get it home $300 to get into canada and another $200 today in more tax

and i try not to think about the rest $$$
