Air Conditioner Question (shouldn't be too technical)

I have my 89 in my sig and noticed that there is not a switch on the dash panel for changing the air flow from the floor and dash combined to just the dash. my A/C blows very cold and it freezes my feet but just cools through the dash. i was wondering if there is not a switch is there anyway that i can force the air current from the floor to the dash vents.

Thats weird. in our early 91 when you turn on max a/c or just reg. a/c it blows at the face only. not on feet. and when you turn on heat it blows at feet only and no face. Which one of our trucks is weird? lol

If your controls are like mine the vent button will move to dash vents only.

Heat= floor
Vent= dash
A/C = dash
MAX A/C= dash
Defrost = windshield

There is no controling the direction of flow outside of the preprogrammed setup on our trucks like on newer trucks.

You should not be getting A/C out the floor ducts. Check for a disconnected or leaking vacuum pod, it's the one on the driver's side of the HVAC box.

Yeah Ive seen disconnected vaccum lines do all kinds of funny things to the a/c. Seen it redirect a/c through the Defrost vents on all settings lol. The joys of vaccum actuated parts. Darn I love my Seviceable 4wd hubs he he he
