Aftermarket shifter?

So Im transplanting a 92 Cummins motor and auto trans (A518) into my 68 Chevy pickup. I got to wondering today how Im going to do the shifter. Has anyone used an aftermarket shifter in their truck and if so what one? Also Im going to run braided steel lines for the tranny cooler, what threads are on the trans where the factory lines connect? Thanks.

Lokar.com makes all kinds of auto floor shifters for 727/518 trannies. Check them out and I'm sure you can find something that will work for you.

I'll do that thanks for the info. Ive seen serveral companies with shifters for the 727, theses should also be compatable with the A518 you would think?

Should be. But if it's a tailshaft mounted unit for a 727 you might have to "adjust" the brackets a bit to make it fit on a 518, due to the tailshaft mounted OD unit.
