As some of you know I'm real big into water inj. I thought I would share some on my latest testing. Now before I start please dont try this until I get finished with testing, because if you fry your cummins dont be crying. I am working with an old friend who has worked with water inj on racing aircraft for many years.
Ok on to the good part, I'll post the exact mix when we are done.
#2 = 293 HP
#2 + 50/50 mix = 361 HP
#2 + 48/50/2 = 427 HP
I guess your wondering what that 2 % is ? Well its nitro methane, after the first run we discovered stock head gaskets cant handle the cyl pressure. EGT were pretty much the same as #2 alone, higher than with the 50/50 mix by 275 degrees. Our goal is to safely add 150 HP with out going over the edge. Wish us luck and more to come.
one last time dont try this, let us take the risk.

always working... I use a 50/50 mix of the water and methanol. If you use the search option you can find some info on using windshield washer fluid. someone ( I think it was loch) posted what each temp rated washer fluid contained. the lower the temp rating on the washer fluid the more methanol. also the product "heet" i think that's how they spell it, in the little yellow bottles is almost all methanol.
that nitro is scary stuff, watched a fellow enthusiast from PA run some kind of diesel nitro in his tank at the races as an additive, but even he was surprised he didn't push the heads off his p stroke. anyone ever see what bumping cetane #'s up does on a dyno? if even for just a drum roll, this stuff seems to be pretty potent : http://www.goestores.com/catalog.asp...87260&detail=1
Windshield washer fluid is fine to use. It just creates a mess as it has a cleaning detergent in it. Just means you will need to be scrubbing anywhere the windshield washer fluid was spraying to otherwise it will cause build up.
it's not that simple. if there is ever any WM that needs to "evaporate" you've got a major problem in your system. the WM should be shot in at a high enough psi (usually a 150 or 220psi pump) to overcome the boost you make. the system will be set up on some sort of boost switch so that you only inject when boost is higher. search the forums... there are some very informative threads on this subject

Nitromethane is some spooky stuff, I will gladly leave the R&D to you.
