A518 connections
I looked and looked and couldn't find what all the connections are for the 518. Mainly the electrical, there are two plugs between the pressure and return lines, one has 3 wires and the other 2. Also without making a mess which line is the pressure and which is the return? I have a picture if someone could point them out, thanks!

Just added a few numbers, not the best looking but it gets the point across

#1 converter outlet. There should be a high temp switch in that line.
#2 netural saftey and backup light switch. The outer pins of the plug are backup lights. The center pin is netural safety.
#3 OD controll, two pins.
#4 oil cooler return line
The VSS is on the Tcase like you noted.
Got you by a few seconds BC.

Thank you!
I'm going to run my overdrive control with a switched ground. And I need to repair or reroute the return line for the trans cooler, where the adapter screws into the trans is cracked and leaking fluid. Can it be plumbed into the pan? Or anywhere else on the transmission?

That's what I thought. My last fix was short lived. I've been leaning toward that alumaweld stuff for braising. I havent found anyone who used it yet. So i dont know how well it works. Second option would be to take the trans out for the welder at work to mig it.
I also have the 1/2 ton trans but I think the bell housing has a different bolt pattern.

That half truck trans will not work. The bell housing section is smaller with a different bolt pattern.
If you go to have it welded. Tell the guy it is 385 alloy alumin. It will help him pick the right filler rod.
" I had to change the alloy. I put 285 and realy is 385".
