My recent move of my truck into SoCal cost me right at $650. through EzAuto tag. Not that easy. I had to go to the DMV anyway to get the vin read then to the CHP to get it read again. Plus $20 to weigh the truck. A HUGE Pain in the posterior. Hopefully next year will be cheaper for the renewal.

I really hesitated to say this, but you know a state is REALLY messed up when a Jerseyite doesn't want to go there..........

Ok, I will go back under my rock.

Join AAA. Great towing policy and every DMV registration short of new vehicles can be done. They're authorized to read vin's,transfer titles the whole bit.
I had to use the DMV with my new Dave Smith truck.

Currently in certain areas in AK you can get a permanent registration sticker on vehicles over 7 years old. I have 1 left to do when the current registration expires.

Been here almost 50 years. I'd leave yesterday, if I wasn't married.

Topography/ terrain is pretty cool. One hour = beach to mountains is a niceity. Got to get rid of all the insensitive people, large scale polluters, and the corruption, it wouldn't be such a difficult place to live

Ya, other than we have more reasonable Gun laws, you could interchange Illinois for Jersey.

I have about 6 months left that I absolutely have to live in this state, after that, I may well become a Gentleman Chicken farmer in Kentucky............

It's a different world up there.

The whole state of California is Wacko! I am getting out of here before the state is federally defunded for being a sanctuary state and the taxes go through the roof. on top of that in January of 2018 the new firearms laws make me an outlaw overnight ! enough is enough!!!!!

They are already pushing the all semi ban thru right now.

I think it was starting today that you have to have a background check for any and all ammo purchases?

Yea, Cali is officially off the spend even a buck there list.............

Yeah they have been trying to pass the semi auto ban for a few years now it just got vetoed but this time it has a better chance of passing. The idea is to call them all assault weapons so the whiners feel safe.

That stupid ammo background check is why I am getting out the ol reloading press. The check only applies to manufactured ammo. so far anyway.
when California doubles down on the sanctuary state and most of the rest of the country goes the other way the criminals will likely flood here. and with us under gunned we will be easy pickings
No matter we should be out of here by that time.
