Ok, I got the flash codes and they pertain to the alt...Charging system voltage to high. i do believe the battery is shot, I have to load test tonight to be sure. Once I get the battery back in is there a way to clear the codes or do I have to get a scan tool.

 

Once the problem is gone the MIL will go out, the codes will clear after 50 starts.

 

I guess I wanted the light out before 50 starts...i drives me nuts with that red light staring me in the face. I will see if my uncles scan tool will hook into it

 

No I think he meant the light will go out as soon as the problem is fixed, but the code will stay in the computer for another 50 key cycles.

 

Ok, makes sense. I will get the battery swapped out and go from there. Thanks for all of the posts/help
