93 injection pump.

Well My 93 2x4 ctd auto bit the dust last week. It started with a leak on the back side of the injection pump and we got that fixed then as soon as it was started it leaked in a different place. I did not do the work on it a shop did. I turned it up about 5 months ago and its already dead. has 170k on it. Where can I get a new pump for as little $$ as possible/
Thanks
DM01
thankinggodforthep7100pump [undecided]

Re:93 injection pump.

For whats it worth Im on #2 also. All the local rebuilders claim turning it up without proper internal mods can severly shorten its life. I personally would like a little more out of mine when the warranty is up. Anybody have any input on this?????
Thanks..

Re:93 injection pump.

I would also recommend Piers Diesel Research. It is my understanding that by going to injectors that flow more fuel than the stock injectors, it is not necessary to turn up VE pump at all or not as much and thereby not straining the VE pump. The VE pump in our trucks is one of the weak links when looking for major performance increases. Having said, we have a few first gen trucks running over 300 rwhp without apparently any problems. ;D . So what do I know!
---
Al

Re:93 injection pump.

Alk is right. I am running everyday at over 300hp and have been running close to that for years now and still run my original pump. ;D My pump has never been rebuilt. Heck, its never even been on a test stand.
