were does the pink/red tracer wire go an what to do about it ? i would like to put my aux. lights on a relay an the trailer lights to

Where is this wire?

 

sorry about the post i was in a hurry.not this one. the one above.

the wire i talk of is located in the headlight switch . once was a pink wire /red tracer is now a brown wire / red tracer burned pretty good . i like to find the end of that wire an replace with a new wire or find out what the pink wire /red tracer controls. i have done the headlight mod that was the best !

one point in before i owned the truck some one rewired the headlight switch with each wire to its place with spade connection. i went put a new pigtail on it awhile back for the headlight switch. the major load is off the switch i believe now. with the headlight.

 

Pink/red is the feed for the dash lights, it comes out of the fusebox.

 

what would cause it to burn up like that?

 

A short?
