92' Charging issues

92' Charging issues
I hav spent the last couple of hours searching the archives about this issue and haven't found a definitive answer so here goes.
I have a 92' that is giving me issues with charging. It started a few months ago and thanks to the search function on this site I had taken care of the issue. I ended up replacing the original PCM and it started charging properly and even fixed the lights flickering. I ran extra grounds fixed the fuseable link mess on the fender with a fuse box and fuses and all has been fine until a couple days ago.
It stopped charging again.
I by passed the PCM with an external VR to verify the alt was still working but I can't get it to charge with less than 15.2 volts no matter how well I ground the VR.
I don't have any other symptoms, everything else works and worked the last time also (speedo, OD and such).
I had the ******* order another PCM since it was still under warranty and while I am waiting for it to come in I still need my truck but am really worried about the over charging issue and what might be the cause of it.
Thanks.
Simon

I had thought of that but thought I should get another opinion and will get another regulator tomorrow.
Thanks for the reply.
I just noticed that steeler with an "a" as apposed to dealer was replaced with asterisks. I didn't know that was a bad word!

Well I put another VR in it today and it didn't change anything. It still over charges by 1 volt or so sitting around 15.2 give or take 10th. I am stumped and would like to figure it out before I get the new PCM in case it is an issue somewhere else and not just bad luck with a crappy reman PCM.
I am up for more suggestions. I would take it out and have it tested but there isn't any rebuild shops near where I live and the McParts houses generally don't have a clue if their computer doesn't tell them what to do or how to do it.
