question to those who upgraded their non i/c to the later radiator, what did you do about your fan support, to locate the fan to center on the radiator, im guessing the later fan is larger? i had a part number of 3917679 for the later support, but some show it from '89, im trying to hit the road in a week for a rockie mountain vacation, and may just leave well enough alone till later, finding parts for the later trucks, takes its time to achieve, especially motor parts.

 

I used a shroud from a 77 440 dodge pu and it worked great till it fell a part old plastic ,now I don't have one ,but i don't seem to have a heat issue anymore ether I think if I dont find a I/C shroud and fan hub I will have a sheet metal one made later.

 

The bracket between non i/c and i/c motors have a different offset. IIRC, the non i/c fan is pushed towards the driver side a bit and the i/c fan drops straight down.

 

looking at the '94-'98 12 valve, the drop and set back is still different, ill be looking for the correct fan, clutch, and support, even without the shroud, im seeing better performance.
