90 Club Cab Short Bed on 93 W250 Reg Cab Long Bed Frame??

Ive searched this topic everywhere. Ive seen a million club cab long beds getting cut down for short beds. but anyone put a club cab and a short bed on a 89-93 reg cab long bed diesel? Ive got my 1993 W250 4x4 diesel auto and it needs some body help. from my observations Ive noticed the reg and extended cab frames look like they kick up around the same place just around the back of the door. PLEASE correct me if im wrong. i found tommys one of these and its super clean, i love the look. i have yet to see a 4x4 ctd one or if anyone has done it with a reg cab frame.

Tips?
Tricks?
Ideas?
hate?

You'll get a lot of flack on the mere mention of shortbed (lots of folks like to carry plywood with the tailgate closed ). Anyway, I love the idea.

I have a pic of a chart on my other computer that shows all the wheel bases, but I am pretty sure that the wheel bases are the same. On the other hand. the frame will need to be cut off at the rear end. The short bed has less rear overhang. As you said, I think the frames are the same, other than rear cab mount location, from the front to the rear-rear spring hanger. You may need to go with the gasser fuel tank or use a body lift or some sort of creativity to clear the ctd fuel tank hump that is right in front of the sending unit. Good luck, I might think of other things, later.

Why not just take the cummins drivetrain out and stick it in the gasser chassis?

the W350 probably would be worth doing the body swap on because of the beefy frame so that might be a consideration. The drivetrain swap would be the simplest by far.

Just for future readers. No, the Club Cab short bed is 133" wheelbase/38.25" rear overhang and the Reg Cab Long bend is 131" wheelbase/42.25" rear overhang, so 4" longer overhang at rear of frame
