I sure wish that a couple of sexy 20 year old ladies would say that to me.

(you know, besides the ones behind the one way mirror looking at a lineup of similar characters as myself.

NJT I don't know your age but at my age I would be able to stand most 20yr olds for about 10 min. Then I would be annoyed and feel like a babysitter, LOL.

These days it's hard to know what you'll catch.

Well the weather was cold, rainy / snowy on the mud from last weeks warm spell yesterday.
It was a perfect day to work in the warm shop.
I got the exhaust manifold cleaned up with a scotch brite pad and installed with fresh gaskets. It cleaned up nicely with some elbow grease and a cold draft beer.
I then installed a freshly rebuilt WH1C like you would find on a '94/'94 12V.
After that I played with clocking the housing so I could modify it to be used on my NON intercooled application.
I cut down a 2nd gen turbo 90* outlet to get it aluminum welded to an aluminum base plate for my intake horn.
It looks like the hot side 2nd gen intercooler tube and one boot will work for my build.
I will need to buy a custom boot to go over the V-band lip of that WH1C turbo and fit to the 3 inch intercooler tube next. I was happy with how my mocked up intake horn parts looked.
Good times!

I have been looking into the future and here for some parts.

Intercooler Pipe Fabrication

Iwon't be doing an inter cooler anytime soon but a turbo is in the plans.

Thanks for the link Mark.
I will use them or Frozen Boost. They both seem to stock the same stuff by the looks of it.

Glad to hear you have plans for a turbo on your build.

The turbo a bit down the road. But I am making progress, mostly little stuff but that is the big time consumer. It seem like every time I start to do something I find something else that is easier to do while I am at it.
Glad to see the ole RC is coming along.

Today, I got the base of the air horn drilled out with a hole saw and hand ground down the rough edges smooth with a chain saw file.
Final mock up is done for the intake horn and tube.
Time to clean up some aluminum and weld it up.

Thanks guys!
I had fun designing that intake horn / cross over tube out of left over 1st and 2nd gen parts I had in the shop.

T-man, I don't want an intercooler on this project, as the gauntlet will not tow heavy, if at all.
The big reasons though are I want to keep the older '89 grille and limit piping in the engine bay for a cleaner look.
I also plan to only lightly tuning the pump so EGTs should not be an issue. I worry about too much power with a short wheelbase rig with an LSD rear axle and little weight over the back end.
