89 Full Power Adj
89 Full Power Adj
How in the heck do you turn the Full power adjustment screw on an 89. Is there a special tool to get to the screw, straight screw driver. I tried all the tools I had but to no avail could I get on it to adjust it. Any ideas here?
What I did was I took my pump top off to do the 3200 spring and removed the screw from the housing broke the lock collar off and reinstalled (keeping track of the turns out and in). But to adjust it on the truck you need a long sraight screw driver and go in from the back up against the block that way you get a strait shot on the screw, and turn until you want to stop. I can't remember for sure but I believe there is a lock nut on the screw which holds the protective cap but like I said I can't remember for sure. Hope this is some help to you.

On mine I take out 2 bolts at the top and one at the bottom and the whole plate that holds the dipstick and throttle linkage just lays down. It opens everything up so it's a lot easier to get to. Trying to work around that plate installed is a real pain but those three bolts are easy.
