I might have a good cab off a gasser to swap on my 89 cummins. What might I run into when doing the swap? All electrical would be the same right? both cabs are for autos. Swap the dashs out. What am I missing? Where is the best place to get body mounts? Thanks

 

The square plug where the wiring harness goes through the fire wall has to be moved over a few inches. At least it did on the '85 crews that I've built.

 

if the cab donor is a 2wd auto, then it will have the small trans tunnel. the manual trans 2wd and all 4wd trucks had the big trans tunnel.

 

The donor truck is a w250 4x4, just like mine only it has a 360 gasser.

 

I swaped a 92 auto gas cab on my 90 diesel and the firewall harness pluged in but it would not start had to change the harness in the cab

 

definately change the underdash harness.
