the truck was a 2 wheel drive now 4x4 it has a 360 in it now with an auto tranny i bought a running 92 truck with a auto in it also for 750$ couldnt go wrong then today i bought a getrag 360 for 200$ with brand new clutch and flywheel to put behind it but the thing that is got me stumped is how will i get the gage cluster to work with the new manual trans and the wiring of the whole engine swap wiring is not my cup of tea is this going to be a nightmare
There's a whole heap of conversion sites and forums out there. Do a google search and see what you get. I'm sure thrashingcows and others will chime in. Also search this forum for conversions, you'll find a wealth of info right here.
And as Bill said, that's a nice looking ride you've got!

Come join in the conversation, i started a general cummins conversion thread the other day. I am jealous of your $200 getrag with new clutch! i have come to grips that i will not have enough budget cap to do a manual swap at this time.
This is a great thread...By Johny5....

There are others...do a search as KD93, and others have suggested.
You will want to swap all the electrics, and most of the dash unit, other then the basic frame, from your 92, since you will need the ECM, and all the grid heaters and other significant Cummins wiring.
Start a build thread in the CTD conversion section of the site, therefore we can keep an eye on your progress and help out if we can.

IMO, unless you live in Canada or where you experience sub zero temps often, you won't need the grid heaters. A Dodge crew cab is quite simple, why folks make it complicated is beyond me. You can do a conversion like I did if you want things simple. Keep the entire gasser wiring harness(es) and simply add 12 volts to power the start/run/stop solenoid on the injection pump. That's all that is needed to run the engine. Add engine, trans, trans mount, modify your driveshafts and you're rolling.
Bill after doing my first swap I will be honest with you I think it's just as easy to use the harness from the diesel that way everything bolt's back together .And yes your right doing a crewcab swap is a piece of cake start to finish it shouldn't take more then a few weekend's Just do your research first before you tackle it and you will be fine and Please don't be afarid to ask question's as you go there are plenty of us that have done them .

Good luck on the build.
