Does anyone have a picture of the adapter required to use the 7mm injectors in the early head? I assume the 7 or 9 is refering to the tip of the injector? Where do I get them?

 

Any Bosch dealer can get them for ya. My local dealer had them in stock. They're usually around 10 clams a piece, which sucks. My dealer felt bad they were so pricey and gave 'em to me for 40 bucks, no reciept Any of the popular vendors can also likely provide them.

They basically look like a copper crush washer with a sleeve that covers the majority of the injector tip. I assume without filling that space in the bore, the compression ratio would be affected, but that's just a guess...

 

Piers has them if you cant find them local.

 

G1625S- I think the sleeve is more to prevent carbon build up; I hadnt considered compression ratio. I'll see what my local guy can get them for.
